MEET THE COMMISSIONERS

Chairman, Clifford E. Poehlman 28003 M-60, Cassopolis, MI, 49031 269-445-2121

Appointed in 1991, he resides with  his wife, Mary,  in  Howard Twp.  In partnership with his sons, Greg and Kent, Mr. Poehlman  farms approx. 1500 acres and has a marl and lime spreading service. A veteran of the US Army, he has served on the Howard Twp Zoning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.  A member of the Cass Co Farm Bureau for 40 years, he was President of that organization for 4 years and a member of the Board of Directors for 6 years.

Member, Robert W. Powers 50311 Meddolane, Marcellus, MI 49067 269-646-7155

Married and the father of two grown children, Bob graduated from Marcellus High School and holds a B.S. in Education and Vocational Agriculture, majoring in Animal Husbandry, from Michigan State University.  Former owner and operator of a 270 acre sod farm, and insurance agent for 40 years. He served in the U.S. army during the Korean Conflict and has served as board member for the Marcellus Township as Treasurer, Lewis Cass Intermediate Schools, Cass County Board of Commissioners.

Member, Roger Bowser  Appointed in 2005.                                                            

 

Member, Louis Csokasy   Appointed in 2008.

 

 

 

The Commission meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month in the offices located at 340 North O'Keefe St, Cassopolis, MI 49031.  Regularly scheduled meetings from January to April and October to December will start at 9:00 a.m., from May to September the first monthly meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. and the second meeting will start at 7:00 p.m.  Special meetings are posted and advertised as required by law.  Individuals wishing to meet with the Commission are encouraged to call the Clerk of the Commission at our offices to schedule a time on the agenda to discuss their interests.  View organizational chart.
