MOUNTAIN BIKE TIME TRIAL scheduled for Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Dr. T.K. Lawless Park. This event is sponsored by the Cass County Parks Department and Tailwind Enterprises. For more information please call (248) 634-6178 or go to tailwind@tir.com.

MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON as of November 1, 2006.

This closure happens on the same date every year, and is due to the anticipation of bad weather and hunting throughout the park.  The Cass County Park Department  wish to thank all those who continue to support these trails and the park department.  Only through the cooperative effort of many individual volunteers, biking organizations, the County of Cass and the Cass County Road Commission can these trails continue to be some of the best in southern Michigan and northern Indiana.

Horseback riding is not encouraged at Lawless Park at this time.  However, there are riding trails located in Russ Forest Park on Marcellus Highway just east of Decatur Road.  The County Park Board is currently working with equestrian groups to research and potentially develop bridle trails at Lawless Park.  If you or your equestrian club, group or association are interesting in working with the Park Director in developing a plan for such trails, you should contact Scott Wyman at 269-445-8611.
