The Cass County Road Commission participates jointly with the townships in a program for the treatment of gravel roads with dust control material.

There are two applications of dust control material. The first treatment is generally scheduled for late May or early June (dependent upon the weather) and the second treatment late July or early August.

The gravel roads are graded prior to the application of dust control material (unless a specific request is received not to do so). The minimum application is 300 ft and is centered at the property owner’s address unless specific written request (through the township) is received to place it differently.

NO requests for application are accepted by the Cass County Road Commission. Request must be made through the township in which the property is located. Each township has requirements and deadlines for participation in this program and you must contact your township official to request dust control application.
